One day tour of the city:

This is primarily a 'to do' day and not a tourist fun day. This is all about understanding the UK culture. We will show the students how to get around their local area, visiting the centre of London or the city where they are based. How to use and understand our transport structure, and reading a map Familiarization of our telephone system, i.e. using the cheapest international telephone card, How to use an internet shop and the post office Familiarizing them with our food shops, local cheap open markets and cheap shops Visiting china town and/or local Chinese supermarkets and cheap Chinese restaurants Location of banks and how to use a cash point. Where the local library is and information on how to become a member. The location of the nearest hospital. Our experience shows that this day is extremely worthwhile; we have found that this aids the student to understand the UK and is an invaluable day in helping the student in the early days of their stay in the UK.
